Functional Art for Daily Life
crafted with heart, made by hand
Pinch & Purl Creative, LLC is all about crafting pieces of art with deep love, strong care, and thoughtful purpose. We share a love for the handmade, whether a piece of pottery, a quilt, stained glass window, a scarf, or a woven dishtowel, we value the slow and unique process of crafting an object with heart and hand.
As a true beginner, Kris took so much extra time showing me the skills I needed to be able to actually make something with my own two hands! She has such a calm presence while teaching that really draws you in and makes you feel confident, and most importantly have fun at the same time. I can honestly say those weeks I spent in her class were the best and just the connection to creativity that she creates around the studio is exactly what I needed to escape the daily chaos of life. The best part was I came home with so many pieces and was so proud of myself - I absolutely recommend Kris and her pottery studio and will absolutely be back for more classes!

It had been almost two decades since I took a ceramics class. I wasn’t sure how it would go or what I’d remember. I was a bit nervous my first class. Kris made me feel comfortable and knew exactly how to get me back into throwing. She has a ton of knowledge and I have learned a lot since attending her classes. It’s been fun getting to know Kris as well as meet other like-minded locals. Lots of inspiration happens from the group setting and I love the pieces I’ve made so far. I just wish I hadn’t waited all these years to get back into it.
